My Journey
Choosing Psychology
Choosing psychology as a career first sparked my interest in grade 10 when I attended a parent-child counselling workshop. Something about the profession resonated deeply with me, especially as I witnessed many of my family and friends silently struggle with their mental health. The stigma around seeking help was so strong that they continued to suffer in silence, turning instead to astrologers, pundits, and even exorcists for answers. Psychology offered a way to challenge these outdated beliefs, and it gave me the confidence that I could be part of a change, helping people embrace mental health support without fear or shame. That’s why I chose psychology, and I’m committed to making a difference.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s in Psychology (Mumbai University)
- Master’s in Psychology (Extensive internships with diverse populations)
- Pursued a part-time PhD, honing critical thinking and research skills
- Worked across psychological centres, schools, colleges, and hospitals
- Finally, I established my private practice, offering both online and in-person sessions.
